More weather
Yesterday was, apparently, the coldest day in ten years in Ottawa - the thermometer was showing -25, but with the wind chill, it was feeling around -40 degrees.
I was well wrapped up - it's cold enough that bare skin can get frostbite in just a couple of minutes, which would obviously not be a good thing - but boy, could you feel it when the wind started gusting.
Today was a little warmer, and the weekend should be a much more reasonable -10. There's also a warmer spell coming at the start of next week, though the weather forecasters are currently warning that we're in for a lot of snow then, too.
Now that's proper winter weather.

It's probably a bad sign....
When the local media are giving advice on how to avoid frostbite, right?
The temperature outside is currently around -20, with another few degrees to be taken off when you're in the wind - luckily, when I've been out and about today, there's been just a few gusts. Just enough to make me glad that there weren't more, in fact.
It's been a little odd, weather wise - the weather today has been typical Ottawa weather for the time of year. But the last couple of days have been very warm indeed - I think the weekend was the warmest one on record. But we've still got plenty of snow to keep us going.
I shall be staying bundled up warm until the spring, I think....
